| The Republic of Cuba assumes responsibility,
before the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), in reference
to the provision of air traffic services as well as the proper installation
and operation of radio aids in its territory thus providing support to international
air navigation. |

The Air Traffic Control Center is located at José Martí International Airport and count with a modern radar and communications equipment which allows a constant surveillance on all aircraft operating within the Flight Information Region assigned by ICAO to the Republic of Cuba , which constitutes a guarantee for the region's air navigation safety. | |

Over 500 aircraft operations are performed daily within the region served by Havana's Air Traffic Control Center, this region covers an approximate area of 55 000km² and stretches over international waters as well as the air space located over the Cuban territory. |
