VISION AND MISSION

 The Youth Working Army (EJT) forms part of the ground troops of the Revolutionary Armed Forces and has the following principal missions:

 - To carry out productive activities in the interests of the country's socio-economic development;

 - To implement measures for the protection of the environment and the rational use of natural resources;

- To prepare its members militarily and to participate in carrying out the armed struggle; and

- To contribute to the patriotic, military, occupational, sports and cultural training and education of the young people.

 

STRUCTURE

 The Youth Working army is structured into divisions, regiments and battalions.  Its members receive the full wages or income established for the work that they do the same as the rest of the country's workers.
