This is a basic institution of the State, with the fundamental mission of fighting against the aggressor with all the people.  The forces contribute to economic development and environmental protection.  The constitution establishes that the president of the Council of State and head of government is the supreme commander of the Revolutionary Armed Forces and determines their general organization.
