It
is the territorial grouping of forces and equipment designated for the defense
of the municipality. Its
headquarters command the units of the Territorial Troops Militia.
The headquarters of the military sector is the body in charge of coordinating and organizing the measures to bring the municipality from a peacetime situation to an exceptional situation; the military registry and the use of the human potential in defense activities; the training of the personnel, command bodies and leadership, and the civil defense measures, as well as the command of the troops that are subordinated to it in wartime.
